"Is there a way to get NT7 to plot data in the future?
That is create a dataseries with values and adjusted datetime stamps that extend out a week in the future appended to an actual historical data series?
Then have that bogus dataseries show (where whitespace normally is on the right-hand side of the chart) and as real data comes in it plots as per normal? (the bogus dataseries would remain)
I would only one need minute data. The bogus dataseries could be Friday's close repeated for the number of minutes required to take it from Sunday open to next Friday's close. (so Sunday 14 June 2015 to Friday 19 June.
It plots the cloud 26 bars ahead. The changes become effective with each new bar.
This is achieved by
- filling an internal DataSeries with data
- then plotting the graph ahead of the last bar
The values cannot be directly accessed via an indicator. However, you may access the values of the underlying DataSeries which has all values stored 26 bars earlier than the displayed plot.
The chart attached shows an Ichimoku indicator which basically does what you have asked for.
If you only wish to display Friday's close, you can take the weekly Pivots indicator. It would not be a big deal to extend that custom plot into the future.
