volume candlesticks

Hello all, Does anyone have some experience trading with ninja traders vol based candlesticks? I've been trying to find some information on how they work and intact with the calculations of the ma indicators and such. Any knowledge sources would be greatly appreciated. Also the default setting is 1000 what setting would be comparable to the 5m time based chart? Thanks everyone!
