Does anyone have an indicator that plots the time between tick bars? .

I think you're looking for the "Time Histogram" or " TimeHistogramSuite v1.22" indi available on the NT download pages:

Links and Downloads Manager - NinjaTrader Support Forum

In turn, I'd like to ask if anyone has seen a counter for renko bars (the range counter seems to only work for range bars).

Hey, thanks for the input. Was wondering if you know of a counter with audio alerts at a an adjustable specified range remaining? Thanks in advance! SS

I modified mine a long time ago.

Put all of them on your chart. Blank out the label. You won't get any error messages, it will only show the "right" thing.

Mike

Tried a couple of these (was interested in time in a Range bar); converted to zip and import was fine, but did not se any 'xxxMod' indicator. Dirctly put the .cs in the indicator folder but that gave compile errors.

I am looking for an indicator that will give the time spent in a range or volume bar. I am sure there is one out there, but my search has not been successful.

Guidance is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Kumar

I get this error when compiling the attached files. I know these are from years ago. Is this a quick fix? I'm totally ignorant of the coding.

Thanks.

Post a screenshot showing line 132 of the barmodified.cs file so we can see what the error is. Probably just a method or overload change from NT 6.5 to NT 7.

1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.

I'm sure @Fat Tails knows the replacement for NT7, that function was probably deprecated. I don't know it.

Here 'tis... thank you.

@rsmtrade: Line 132 of that indicator shows no problem. Your message does not seem to relate to that file.

It is a problem if you only post half of the error messages and then two screen shots that do not match with the truncated error messages. I cannot help you if you only disclose part of the information.

If you post the entire file that creates the problem, I might find the bug in a few seconds.

@FatTails..

my apologies for incomplete response... the file that gives the problem is bartimermod.cs attached to this thread by Big Mike.

@rmstrade: Yes, I did not go back to the beginning of the thread.

The problem was so subtle that I have overlooked it, after I had read your code above. Just replace

Code
Bars.Session.InSession(Now, Bars.Period.Id, true)

with

Code
Bars.Session.InSession(Now, Bars.Period, true)
