Calling a boolseries from an indicator

I am interested in turning FatTails amazing heikin-ashi indicator into a strategy.

For that I need to program my strategy to access the Up.Trend boolseries. Long would be when the Up.Trend is true, and show when the Up.Trend is down.

Any examples of a strategy calling a boolseries from an indicator would be appreciated. Thank you.

The anaHeikinAshi indicator comes with an internal BoolSeries "upTrend". The indicator further comes with a public property "UpTrend" that can be used to access the BoolSeries via a strategy.

To access the indicator

(1) add an instance of the indicator to your strategy, for example

#region Variables
private anaHeikinAshiType  candleType  =  anaHeikinAshiType.Dan_Valcu_Smoothed;
private int period  =   10;
private anaHAMAType  smoothingType  =  anaHAMAType.Ehlers;
private Indicator.anaHeikinAshi  AHA  =   null;

protected override void Initialize()
   AHA = anaHeikinAshi(candleType, period, smoothingType);

(2) Add properties for candleType, period and smoothing Type in order to access the parameters in your strategy.

(3) Use AHA in OnBarUpdate(). You can now access the trend of the current bar as "AHA.UpTrend[0]".

Thanks for the great, quick response. And thank you for all of the great coding indicators you have provided. I can't believe how much trading strategy I am being exposed to by reviewing them. It is very enlightening, and I appreciate your contribution very much.
