It will rollover with offsets of the new contract.

Awesome... And thanks for the quick reply!

additional controls the bracket variables to edit buy/sell factors in exact price in ATM whether added in NT8?

* If investing gets too difficult for a seventh grader to understand, the system is needlessly complex
* Markets produce an enormous volume of information, much of which is redundant
* In every game and con there's always an opponent, and there's always a victim. The trick is to know when you're the latter, so you can become the former

Jonson,
It's not clear exactly what you are asking.

If you are after the ability to set an absolute price value to define your stop and/or target, then this is already supported in both NinjaTrader 7 and 8.

I meant that it was possible to establish in advance the target and a loss on specific prices and not the number of ticks as they are now

Thanks for clarification.

This is supported now in NT7 and of course, NT8.

In our Help Guide - ATM Strategy Parameters

Search for "Parameters can be entered as ticks, percent or absolute price. To change what parameter type is used, access the entry window's properties via the right mouse click context menu and change the "Parameter type" property."

I have to say the ninjascript enhancements sound fantastic. I pretty much gave up with 7 and running into walls with the way things had to be done. Sounds like 8 will fix all that.

The document is clear and informative. It's also a pretty good summary of most of the NT8 webinars that I have seen.

This was (I mean "will be") no doubt a difficult project to complete.

I'm happy with most of the enhancements apart from the fact that the ATM was left pretty much alone. > 3 targets is good but I would have liked to have seen perhaps some closer integration with

a. Indicators
b. Volume
c. My Chart !!

I trade pretty fast timeframes and like to take exits on peak volume. I also like to set stops to automatically trail to price points , not in fixed increments.

Of course it's possible to code strategies for this but that leads to more or less fully automated trading. Greater ATM functionality or the possibility to code ATM specific scripts would be nice.

Simple Example:
I'm not thinking about rocket science here , just simple stuff. For instance a trailing stop that trails based on the highs and lows of previous bars. This of course implies a close connection with a reference chart/timeframe.

In NT8 - How will such a thing be programmable ? Will it be any different to NT7.

You may have overlooked a new feature in NT8 which allows you to set an order (stop loss for instances) to an indicator value and have the price update based on the value of the indicator. You can use this in conjunction with an ATM strategy.

I agree that this will be an awesome feature -- because then it is basically up to the trader to just 'code' a specific indicator that gives a y-axis value -- then the ATM follows that.

So I definitely agree that would be pretty sweet.
