I tried searching both BM and google, and didnt see anythig on futures.io (formerly BMT), and any threads which existed were on the NT forum with poor answers from the NT staff..
This is the 3rd time now where my chart layout(and entire layout with Market Analyzer etc) has mysteriously disappeared, and isnt in my layout folder or any other NT folders.. So etiher it is somehow getting "saved" when I exit NT as a blank layout, or something is messed up..
Nothing in my recycle bin, toggling b/w other layouts and back doesnt help. and when i load my layout that SHOULD work, its just the control center only..
This is getting rediculous.
I have been careful to make sure I either dont save when exiting, or I save with all the charts looking exactly as i want them. This has STILL continued to happen.
Adding insult to injury, I cant "save" a chart and simply copy and past it to to a new layout duplicate it when this does happen.. making the loss even more painful and time conzuming. (like you could in tradestation)
I cant be the only one to who this is happening. I hate making threads like this, but I am terribly frustated and am even tempted to quit NT b/c of this, but dont want to b/c of the positives of the platform. It just seems likme this issue is so keystone cops, it shouldnt be happening.
You are not alone. I also know this kind of failure. But i realized that prior to that the application is in some kind of error state. I couldn't figure out what exactly triggers that behavior. BUT you should save your workspaces at file level (...Documents\Ninjatrader7\Workspaces) and copy them back if this issue occours. So not really a problem to worry about.
The following user says Thank You to Koepisch for this post:
Sorry for the late reponses but i will look into both of those... I believed i had everything saved correclty, so this leads me to belive its some sort of odd glitch, but just to be sure will save at the file level.
edit: I was NOT saving each chart as a template. Just the layout... What is weird is that it didnt seem to be an issue when closing/reopening for the majority of the time..
