that's not true and goes against the whole concept of the internet ie multiple global providers interconnecting with each other.

i connect using android to my pc via RDP and through a vpn on edge without issues

Great for you, but it sure does not work this way in the Caribbeans.........

Mike, while I agree they are not rigged, your overseas members are at severe disadvantage due to latency (even if we were to cut and paste).

For instance (not wanting to create work for you) if 16% of the attendees are overseas based, are they wining 16% of the prizes - I suspect not.

There must be a better way of determing prizes - maybe random selection of names of particpants who stayed on for the whole webinar etc.

Just thoughts - not complaints.

PS: I also assumed that T-shirts and hats were not going to be sent overseas even if we won, so I didn't bother with those questions.

I won three times and I am located overseas so how can there be a bias.
Indeed i was well prepared, we are in trading business auctions are the basics of price and
therefore preparation makes the difference between winning or losing.

I have not heard from Big Mike that he will not send it overseas. I think it is not very expensive to send overseas. I received about 10 books which i bouhgt at amazon.com much cheaper than buying them on the German website.

Hi,

NT7 already supports historical bid and ask volume
NT8 will support historical bid ask volume stored on each last traded tick (which is what I am sure you are asking about)

WPF internally uses directX which is a different rendering technology than GDI. GDI was used by Windows.Forms. Meaning, you would not run into this problem with NT8.

Raymond, thanks very much for your prompt reply!!!

Enjoying the updates on NT8. Thanks for taking the time as I know this must prompt the annoying question "when?"

Something Ray mentioned that has me a bit unsure - regarding vendors.

He mentioned that VP/MP tools may be offered, free or at a fee which was undecided. Obviously the NT users that don't have access to such tools will be happy, but there is another side as well.

All of the users who purchased mkt profile tools from one of the many promoted vendors will not be so happy if their support is dropped. I'm sure NT will do their best to offer all the required features in a homegrown product but the likelihood is that they will fall short from what a user already has from a vendor product that they paid for. Certainly this may apply in other areas but I can only speak for VP/MP tools as I see it impacting me. Hoping Ray will see this and consider if they have not already.

I think the new "Mobile App" feature is great but, and I may be a minority, I'm not a fan of having to use a proxy service. Being technically skilled I'd rather create my own SSL cert and connect directly to a VPS or desktop running NT 8 (even if a dnsdynamic.org type service is required). But perhaps I'm not aware of potential benefits of this proxy. At first glance it just seems unnecessary.

Looking forward to running NT 8.

It's necessary only because 99% of people won't do what you've just said, so a proxy is a requirement to get thru home routers, corporate firewalls, and dynamic IP's.

Perhaps they'll make it optional, but I have a feeling it will be a requirement because that way they have a unified base and could add new features server-side in the future.

Hi,

will have to watch the webinar when I get home. Flash doesn't work for me.

Did they say anything about instruments coverage?

I have been researching NT and really close to hitting the Buy button.

The one thing that i miss dearly is options. Please consider adding it, if not now, perhaps in a future version?

Regards
Hpe
