Hello everyone
New to your forum
I've never been able to get USOil chart within Ninjatrader (live licence)
I see a lot of you guys doing so
My broker is GAINCAPITAL/Forex.com. strangely if you use their plateforms you will have us oïl but once you try and have a USOIL chart within Ninjatrader, NO WAY.
when I ask forex they tell me to ask Ninja
When I ask Ninja, tey tell me to ask Forex
and so on
Thanks in advance for your help
Ben

go to ninja instrument manager, search for what you want by name or by symbol or by market. If it is not there then ninja can't chart it.

Thanks for your reply,
I'm quite familiar with ninjatrader and it's instument manager section
But I once looked at a website called "the oïl money" and they definitally use ninjatrader to chart and trade
isn't simply a question of broker. one would allow ninja to do so while the other one won't
I can rephrase it this way
do you know of a broker whitch will allow USOil to be traded within Ninjatrader
thanks in advance

looks like you have to contact oil money people to find out how they did it, meanwhile you can use USO - SharpCharts Workbench - StockCharts.com to keep track of it.

You will have to create/map it first if it's not in the list (ie create that instrument and map it to the correct broker symbol).

I eventually got to know the name of the "oïl money website" USOil data provider
it is global futures.
Now, that doesn't mean that my problem is solved. I wrote to them and they are supposed to get in touch with me within 48 hours (by phone I suppose
Cheers

that makes sense, now you just have to find out which data feed?
Quoting
Global Futures offers the
NinjaTrader platform on three different datafeeds. We offer
CQG (free version available), DTQ, and Pats datafeed to our clients using this platform. If you would like to give this platform a test drive, click here. You can select your preferred datafeed for your demo as well.

USO is the equity symbol for US Oil. Any stock broker will allow you to trade that, for example - Interactive Brokers .
If you want to trade futures, the symbol is CL. Any futures broker will allow you to trade that. The futures broker you named has nothing to do with it, it's a Nymex (CME ) product available to all futures brokers.
If you live outside the US and want to trade Spot market Oil, you will need to find a Spot broker that offers a CFD for trading Oil.
