Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

Awesome Oscillator

The Awesome Oscillator is a MACD built from a fast and a slow SMA. You can find it here:

This version of the Awesome Oscillator has the raw MACD and a signal line, but does not include the histogram.

MACD Universal

I have coded a version of the MACD, which allows to select both fast and slow moving average from 27 different moving averages, which lets you test 27 x 27 = 729 combinations.

The indicator can be found here:

Don't hesitate to come back, if you have any questions regarding the code of either of the indicators.

The chart below shows the MACD (SMA, SMA, 12, 26, 9).
