According to this, you should be able to get further.

I'll try uninstalling dotnet35 and wine 1.2, and re-doing it and see if I can get further on NT7.

Mike

Mike,

Thanks.

Yeah, I have seen NT 6.5 on WineHQ - AppDB. I'm a subscriber to WineHQ. I'm having a look at it.

Mike did you get NT7 to run?
Im sure by now Ubuntu as an update and wine too from the start of this thread.
Im thinking of trying Ubuntu just to try it out, dual booting. Does it mess with the windows os at all?

I didn't.

And am no longer interested, have moved on beyond NinjaTrader.

Haven't tried to run MultiCharts under wine, but it would be a good project when I have some free fun time to try it.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

I run Ubuntu 10.10 on my notebook, but Seven x64 on my primary desktop. Can't run Ubuntu on it yet due to problems with my multiple monitor configuration.

Ubuntu is fantastic.

Mike,

Did you manage to run it using Wine?

I'm thinking for running a VirtualBox XP machine on Linux for similar need.

Cheers,
