NinjaTrader multiple indicators in same subgraph.

I am wanting to plot 2 indicators in the same subgraph. Both are oscillators based on over/under zero. I have tried numerous combinations - fixed instead of auto range, linear vs logrith, etc. but they will not 'line' up' with the zero line being the middle for both at all times. Any help?

If you use the same panel and "Scale Justification" = "Right" for both of them, the zero lines of both indicators will match.

@Fat Tails,

That would work but if one indicator has a small value of 0.1 and the other a value of say 40 then the small value indicator will not show well when both on "Right" scale.

I like to superimpose indicators for visuals not their value, so I add a multiplier to the list of parameters in the indicator then I can adjust its value when superimposed to show the same relative magnitude.

On one of the indicator set the SCALE JUSTIFICATION to OVERLAY.
Also turn off the PRICE MARKERS =false.

That will make one indicator overlay the other.

@DavidHP: This will not align the two zero lines as requested. @aligator has described the only possible approach, that is to add a multiplier to one of the indicators in order to have them use a scale of the same magnitude.

For example, it is possible to overlay RSI and Stochastics by using the same scale, as the both plot values between 0 and 100. But you cannot easily overlay Momentum and CCI, as the CCI has a normalized scale and the MACD is not normalized. If you use "Scale Justification Overlay", in this case the zerolines will not match.

Perhaps you are correct in what is displayed will have any significance.

However, Here is a chart with Momentum and CCI in two panels.
Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

And here is the same setup with one panel and same indicators and settings
except the Momentum is overlayed on the CCI panel.
Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

It seems that the overlay does show both indicators, but the Momentum has no significance to the CCI values scale. Also the Momentum Zero line is displayed and is slightly mis-aligned.

Maybe I misunderstood the original question but I thought that was the result the poster needed.

I think you misunderstood. The question was related to both indicators having the same zero value line, which in your example that is not the case.

Having one pegged to the right scale and one to the left will work as far as magnitude, but will not have the same zero line.

THANK YOU very much guys for your responses. Been using Tradestation for 15+ yrs and NT has some issues ...so thank you for help with this as it is my 1st post since becoming an elite member in Oct.
let me clarify :
1st:I did have both scaled right as fat tails 1st offered and that is not the issue.
2nd: the issue IS as alligator describes
"That would work but if one indicator has a small value of 0.1 and the other a value of say 40 then the small value indicator will not show well when both on "Right" scale.

I like to superimpose indicators for visuals not their value, so I add a multiplier to the list of parameters in the indicator then I can adjust its value when superimposed to show the same relative magnitude."

I have both justify right and the values of 1st - 0 - 0.05+/- and then opposite for negative side of Z/l
2nd indicator range 0-50 and 0--50+/-

I too am NOT really concerned with values but DO want visual as alligator describes.
Now can you explain please how to "I like to superimpose indicators for visuals not their value, so I add a multiplier to the list of parameters in the indicator then I can adjust its value when superimposed to show the same relative magnitude."
I do know how to get to 'edit Ninja script' but lost after that without instruction.
Thank you very much.

I had the same issue...

2013-03-15_0805 - danbones's library

You will see that the zero line for one is actually 1.8, or almost zero for the other on E7.

On ES it is a scaling issue, the value of the acci is so small relative to the other that it displays as a straight line.

An NT employee, snapped up a version on which I could alter the view with a variable "multiplier". That worked great for a while, but a new release queered it up, I cant find the original doc and I sort of let it go.

It would be nice if "zero" could actually be zero in a two indicator second panel.

Dan

I think the issue...

bothering the original poster is zero line drift...where the second panel indicators do not have the same zero. Is that correct?
