I used have the same issue the way I used to deal with it was to grab the second pane sizer and drag it to the bottom of the chart. Then you only loose a couple of mm.

Chris

Chris, thanks for quick reply.

But unfortunately I can't do that. This blue 'mirror volume' is in the same pane as Volume Wave indicator. They are not and can not be separated. If I squeeze this pane I would make Volume Wave smaller as well. I contacted mr Weis about this but he said indicator can't be changed.

This probably wouldn't be problem if you use only 1 or 2 charts in one workspace. But if you put several charts in the same workspace you have lot of unused space.

I have coded a zigzag volume indicator for MultiCharts and just uploaded it into the MultiCharts download section:
https://futures.io/download/multicharts/

After 10 days of testing your indicator I can only say – it is GREAT!

It is better than original Weis Wave for Multicharts. Original has this strange mirror looking volume attached to wave volume (already commented that in previous posts). Tradestation version of Weis Wave indicator does not have this issue. I don’t understand why, when I was buying it, I thought Multicharts version would look the same as Tradestation version.

Also, this indicator has possibility to plot wave volume, wave duration and wave price change on price bars - original doesn't have this possibility.

Weis Wave is great concept. I use it constantly and original Weis Wave was the only indicator that I was using (besides price bars and volume). Now, I switched to your version of this indicator (MRA - ZigZag Volume indicator) because I can finally set it up the way I want.

One question:

With my elementary EasyLanguage knowledge I tried to make simple code that would sort out stocks with highest cumulative volume (up or down) from the list of stocks in my MC Market Scanner. But results don’t have any sense – scanner shows me stocks that haven’t achieved record cumulative volume in predefined period (attached).
This is what I added to the end of the code:

Code
if volUp > Highest ( volUp , LookBarsBack ) [1]
	then
	begin
		Plot3 ( 1 , "Record Up Cum Vol" , green ) ;
		Alert ( "New Record Up Cum Vol for " + GetSymbolName ) ;
	end

	else
		Plot3 ( 0 , "Record Up Cum Vol", darkgray ) ;

if volDn > Highest ( volDn , LookBarsBack ) [1]
	then
	begin
		Plot4 ( -1 , "Record Dn Cum Vol" , red ) ;
		Alert ( "New Record Dn Cum Vol for " + GetSymbolName ) ;
	end

	else
		Plot4 ( 0 , "Record Dn Cum Vol", darkgray ) ;
Can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Hi mrad,

Again, you've done a great job with this indicator, it's indeed a very neat tool.

Does anyone have the time/skills/patience to convert this indicator to Multicharts.NET?

cheers

Hi,
I'll stand behind andby's request above - it'd be fantastic to have this indicator done in C#. Bottle of whiskey on me for man who can deliver this! :-)
Cheers,
Bart

According to David Weis's website, it's already available for MultiCharts. Just go buy it.

Have I misunderstood this forum or do I have pay $100 to the owner of this forum in order to download the ZigZag indicator that someone else wrote? Wow. That's a sweet deal for the forum owner!

Naaa, I'll pass. Just another ripoff trading site, the kind that gives trading a bad name. Does the forum owner also sell software with trading signals guaranteed to make me rich?

Please cancel my membership. Goodbye.

Well, I think @Big Mike will do you that favor sooner rather than later...

BTW, have you ever gone through only a couple of the countless threads on futures.io (formerly BMT) ?
If so, you wouldn't call futures.io (formerly BMT) neither a ripoff trading site nor assuming that Mike sells any software...
