I have a scanner workspace in Multicharts that I use to download the historical data for all my symbols -- However, I really want to do the same thing in Ninjatrader instead. The ugly brute force method means opening a long term chart for every symbol -- many charts, ugh. Right now, it is 55 symbols w/ 5yr charts (not all complete yet). They are all continuous futures contracts.
Is there a way to do this using the Market Analyzer instead?
I want to make certain that the MA downloads all the missing historical data, say 1 yr. It seems logical, but my usage and understanding of the MA is fairly low. I may not have 1yr of historical data available right now, but at least I can learn how to do it.
Thanks!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Thanks, Mike. First which option?
"Save chart data as historical" is not checked.
"Record for market replay" is not checked.
"Get data from server" IS checked.
Second, since there is no plot in Market Analyzer, will getting data from server always get ALL missing tick data since the last login? Do the specific columns displayed matter?
