Why would you want to do that? That tends to defeat one of the main purposes of the uni R, or any other Renko for that matter..

It really is frustrating when you offer to help someone and someone else dismisses your response as irrelevant.

I believe you will still see a difference because of the differences between your monitor(s).

There may be other differences between your charts as well, but to clarify my point;

Here are two sceenshots: One of a Laptop monitor and one of a Desktop monitor,

I don't use UniRenko bars but both of these charts have the same bar type and indicators,

I copied the Chart Template from the Desktop to the Laptop and applied it to make certain the charts were "the same"

You can clearly see the difference based on the difference in the two Monitors.

Good luck with your issue.

Can I ask what is that indicator you've got in panel 1 above the Renko bars and do you find it to be of much use? Thanks...

Having both sets of info - time and uni on one chart, instead of two ... both have their uses

Overlaying renko or unirenko on time based chart

Hi,
Has anyone seen an indi that will overlay a renko or unirenko on a time based chart for NT7 ??

Thanks in advance

@WOW CO, this is not exactly what U R looking for, but is probably a good base to code from.

Is it possible to create the UniRenko bars for the ThinkorSwim platform?

You might send an email to [email protected]. He is very talented and assists users with Thinkscript issues.

However, if he's not already familiar with UniRenko, you might have a tough job ahead providing him the detailed specifications.

FWIW, I spent quite a bit of effort a few years back trying to convert NinjaTrader studies and strategies into ToS. I finally concluded that ToS was just not well-suited to futures trading, and moved that portion of my trading to NinjaScript. It's been a much more fruitful process. The support I found on futures.io continues to assist me greatly in that transition. I have not found more than a small handful of traders who are happy trading futures on ToS.

I do use Ninjatrader now for the Futures. Was hoping to use it on ThinkorSwim for my Stocks and Option Swing Trades

I looked at the screenshot you were referring to. The indicator you are asking about was one of the ones here in the Elite section of futures.io simply called "Ribbon"?

It basically looks at 4 different EMA's and shows a confirming block color to let you know if they are all rising or all falling,

I added a few changes to the one found here including a 5th row of blocks, additionally I added a boolean +1, 0 -1 signal to show "Bullish, Neutral, Bearish" when used in the Market Analyzer or if used as a Trend Bias for a strategy.

Overall I do find it helpful.

Hope that helps

I would like to trade this on Thinkorswim for swing trading stocks and just use Ninja for my futures. I have a TOS Thinkscripter but need to provide enough info to give them an opportunity to possibly code. Is there any detail you can provide that would be helpful and I can pass on?

Hi guys

I wonder if you can help me.

I have created a NT7 NinjaScript Strategy that places a marker above my UniRenko bars when a certain condition is met - the condition being two consecutive bars in an uptrend must have a wick sloping upwards by one tick. The reverse is true for downtrend.

Being relatively new with NinjaScript I have gone via the wizard and these are the conditions

Set 1: up bars

The first two conditions ensure that the bars have wicks by checking if the open is different from the low on both bars.

The next two conditions check if both are up bars

Set 2: down bars

These sets are just the opposite of Set 1 for down bars

The result required is that a diamond marker is printed on the second bar if the first and second bars have wicks that differ by 1 tick up or down according to trend direction.

As you can see from the screenshots below, the conditions appear to work in most cases. However there are a few instances where they do not work (last screenshot)

In the screenshot above all the markers show up as expected

In this screenshot a marker (where the red and green arrows point) is missing.

It appears to me that the two bars that don't work in the screenshot have all the elements of the conditions (two down bars, two wicks, High on first bar is 49.06 and High on second bar is 49.05) and therefore should have a marker, but it does not show up.

I looked up this thread for specific issues or comments about wicks or tails but I didn't find anything that was relevant.

Have I created the conditions incorrectly, or do you reckon it's something else?

Thank you
