BACK UP everything before you start!

You may not have the same version of UniRenko and the other indicators on both computers.

Good luck!

Yea, I'm afraid I have to reset / reinstall stuff. My NT7 on the PC is quite "old" and on the Laptop I just installed it this morning.

Thanks for your effort guys! Much appreciated!

It really is frustrating when you offer to help someone and someone else dismisses your response as irrelevant.

I believe you will still see a difference because of the differences between your monitor(s).

There may be other differences between your charts as well, but to clarify my point;

Here are two sceenshots: One of a Laptop monitor and one of a Desktop monitor,

I don't use UniRenko bars but both of these charts have the same bar type and indicators,

I copied the Chart Template from the Desktop to the Laptop and applied it to make certain the charts were "the same"

You can clearly see the difference based on the difference in the two Monitors.

Good luck with your issue.

@TopGunNote

Your charts may be different, but the info on it is the same. This does not apply to "Trading Noob's charts, therefore I would not be inclined to attribute such great differences to a screen resolution and/or size. There must be another explanation.

I apologize. Didn't mean to dismiss your help as irrelevant, but I just don't agree that this problem is related to the resolution.

On your screenshots, you can see there is the same amount of bars for both systems. On my screenshots (my first post), you can see that for the 24th Aug on PC (after the Session break line) there are only ~40 bars for the whole day, while on the Laptop there are >200+ bars after the Session break line for just ~4 hours.

PC: ~40 bars for 18 hours.

Laptop: ~200+ bars for 4 hours.

@profits

As I said in my last post "There may be other differences between your charts as well,"

I'm sure there are other factors affecting @Trading Noob 's issue,

To begin with he is comparing two different bar type settings, in addition to the different Pivot settings you noted.

Whatever the differences are between the two computers, I suggested copying the chart template [as you did] to get to a basic starting point where both charts are "as close to the same as possible" to begin with.

When that is done, there will still be a difference [no matter how large or small] simply because of the differences in the Monitor(s)

Good luck with it.

You seem to misunderstand something. The bar type settings are the same on both systems. Both UniRenko, both T4R8O4. Look at my last post. PC shows 40 bars for 18 hours. Laptop shows lots of bars just for 4 hours. The laptop screenshot appears so different because I had to squeeze (scale the bottom axis) the chart just to fit in the 4 hours.

I only get the same chart output on the PC when I set UniRenko to T1R2O1, instead of T4R8O4:

This setting (TxRyOz) changes the thresholds to when a new bar is added. So no matter what resolution you have, you should always have the same amount of bars.

Okay, I may have missed that, but assuming you are only having difficulty when you use one particular bar setting, on one of your computers,
And assuming you have actually tried saving a chart template on the machine that has the display you're happy with, then copied and loaded that same chart template onto the machine that has the display you're "unhappy" with...?

Then I would suggest you have either a chart template [C:\Users\"Your Name"\My Documents\NinjaTrader 7\templates\Chart]

or a Workspace setting [C:\Users\"Your Name"\My Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces]

that is "Hung up" and not releasing the screen to display properly, You'll have to delete those templates and restart Ninja.

The other thing to check would be what number the "Bar Type" has been assigned on both of your Ninja Platforms
I believe you will find that info stored in a file called "Bar Types.cs"
you should be able to find it here; C:\Users\"Your Name"\My Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Type

There may be a conflict there, but it usually causes the system to "not" display the custom bar type if there is a conflict so I wouldn't spend much time fiddling with that in regards to your issue.

After that I'm out of suggestions,
Sorry,

It sounds like @profits has some other suggestions for you to check as well.

Good luck with it.

Worded or not?

Can you try something and see if the results are the sabe?
Load just one day and check if they look a like.. just an idea. if it works you can load a few more days..

Second idea is: save the chart you like more as a template, then open a brand new chart with the template you have saved.

Cheers,

Hi
Try setting all indicators in both monitors 'the parameter' "AUTO SCALE=FALSE'

Unirenko's are just a form of range bar. Set them aside for a moment and compare the two charts using Ninja's stock range bar type. Still different?

If so, then I submit that you have different Tick size settings for EURUSD in the Instrument manager of the two PC's.

Also, have you run this experiment on other symbols than just EURUSD?

Hope this helps.
