Never seen it. It looks interesting. Might look into it down the road.

They guy that wrote it did it for AmiBroker and this is all I could get but I am not a programmer

Point and figure uses box size and reversal box count.

In Kagi, the absolute increment or %age mimics the box size. The normal rule for reversal in Kagi is to use the same "box size" for reversal. Thats equivalent to a reversal box count of 1 for PnF. There is no reason, you cannot change the reversal logic to the same as PnF in Kagi.

As far as Renko is concerned, The vertical X's and O's are represented as 45 degree (1:1) slanting lines, going up for the X's and coming down for the O's. But for specific construction logics like Wyckoff, the Renko logic is 100% identical to PnF.

Once constructed, you can use moving averages, trend lines, support and resistances and other simple indicators as effectively or better (as there is noise removal) than normal time bar charts for trading.

@drakebauer, are you able to create what you are describing?

I'm using UniRenko since a while and really like it.

I still got a little confusion I don't understand.

Two different computers, Laptop and PC. Both with NT7, both with UniRenko, both same Instrument and same data series settings, but the charts look completely different.

Both data series are set to T4R8O4, load 31 Days, use Default Instrument Settings. But yet different results.

PC: The whole day fits into a small space.

Laptop: I had to squeeze the chart to just fit in 4 hours.

I have no idea where that difference comes from ... ?! I'd like to have it as seen on the laptop.

Hi Trading Noob,

Put your mouse cursor down around the time stamps on the bottom of the chart, just above the horizontal scroll bar, and drag the chart to adjust the horizontal scale.

hope that helps.

Hey angela,

unfortunately no. This only makes the bars bigger, but does not add "more data".

On the PC I will only achieve a similar output as on the laptop, when I set the UniRenko settings to T1R2O1:

But why does the laptop with T4R8O4 produce a completely different chart than the PC with the exactly same settings?

It might simply be the difference in the two monitors?

Check your desktop monitor resolution [might be 1920 x 1080 ]
against your laptop monitor resolution [might be 1366 x 768 ] or something similar.

Just by looking at your screenshots they look like different monitor resolutions.

Also check the indicators you have on the two charts to see if the "Auto Scale" option is consistent on all indicators on both computers. [you want to check that they are all set to either "True" or "False"]
The easiest way to ensure the same settings is to copy the chart template from one computer to the other and then "Load" the Template on the second chart.

The last thing to check is the "Chart Panel Properties" by right clicking in the right hand margin on the price scale.
See if both charts on the different computers have the same settings [see attached].

Good luck.

Can you post the indicators that you are using? I think I may have an idea of why it is happening
