Unless you subscribe to, and pay the surcharge for level 2 data, Kinetick only gives the INSIDE ROW bid and ask prices and will not populate the order book of the DOM.
It will generate OnMarketData events, but will not generate OnMarketDepth events.
On the page where you select which data you are subscribing, to there is a separate checkbox for Level 2.
You should email Kinetick. You aren't even getting L1 data. If you are able to chart intraday data then you should be able to see at least L1 data I think.
The Dom will not show ANY size unless you get Level 2 data.
Barchart.com? You must be kidding. NOT RECOMMENDED.
When I tried to use Barchart about three years ago I encountered
poor data quality with bad ticks that were way out of range and would ruin my charts for an entire day
completely non responsive and outright lying (same lies repeated over a period of several weeks) customer service that blamed the problems with their data on Ninjatrader.
I got the impression that there were very few users of that service and that the vendor did not seem to be serious about supporting it.
