If you have an assembly you would need to decompile it to obtain the open source file. This is not easy and even next to impossible if the assembly is protected.

The author probably wanted to protect his copyright in order to make sure that the stuff is not copied illegally.

If you need the open source files, I suggest to contact the author.

@aliad40: There are a few, but I have never used any of them.

- Remotesoft Salamander -> Welcome to Remotesoft Salamander .NET Decompiler (C#, C++, VB.NET, IL, MSIL)
- .Net Reflector -> .NET Reflector
- JetBrains dotPeek -> Free .NET decompiler :: JetBrains dotPeek :: Download
- ILSpy 2.1 -> ILSpy 2.1 async/await Decompilation Support - Christoph Wille
- Telerik JustDecompile -> Free .NET Decompiler - JustDecompile by Telerik
