If you wanted to protect your strats/code you can do it with CliSecure. It turns your strats into protected DLL files that cannot be modified and it's free if you have a Ninja license as the company will provide a license for free to NinjaTrader users after registering on their site.

Also, here's free open-source encryption software that I use: TrueCrypt - Free Open-Source On-The-Fly Disk Encryption Software for Windows 7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X and Linux
