I am looking for an indicator (Ninjatrader compatible) that would plot a horizontal histogram on the chart which corresponds to the volume of contracts traded at a specific price level. Price by volume histograms are found on the Y-axis and are used by technical traders to predict areas of support and resistance.
Try Price Volume Histogram from NT support forum. I can not give you the link because I do not have 5 post so far. But go to the forum, downloads, indicators, sort by name, page 10.
Thanks hinode, i tried it and it works great but it does show the buying/selling pressure. It would have been cool to see the bears vs bulls at each significant level in the histogram.
nt volume zones is a bit rubbish - its a nice idea but tells yu nothing - you cannot even see figures in the data box whether or not you set "diplay values in databox" to true - think it needs to be updated
I'm looking for exactly the same thing as the original poster. I Ninja Trader compatible indicator or function that will show a horizontal bar chart of volume by price, also hopefully showing selling Vs. buying action.
Has there been any progress on this in the last two years?
Important Notice: Based on the objections from some vendors, I had to take this indicator down for a while. I have been making changes to the presentation and I hope it is acceptable to everyone now . Sorry for the inconvenience.
I felt that we needed a thread dedicated to the discussion of Volume Profile.
