When I try to switch my license key to my live key from the SIM key I'm getting the following error. I can't find any strategies running so not sure why. Any ideas?
"You cannot change your license key while you have running strategies."
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
There seems to be a residual issue from yesterday's Rithmic outage on my Ninja Trader. I can only switch license keys when disconnected from the Rithmic feed, otherwise I get the error below while trying to switch the license key while connected to the Rithmic feed (never had this occurred before).
Is there a way I can clear this out of my system?
Background - Yesterday my Ninja froze during the outage with an existing order that I could not clear. It may still be in my Ninja Trader and causing the current problem.
I think that you cannot switch licenses while being connected. For a SIM license restrictions apply, as you cannot connect to your broker.
Why do you want to switch licenses at all?
There is no reason to switch to a SIM license, if you have a regular license.
Database Reset:
If you want to clear your install from the remainders of yesterday's disconnects, you would need to reset your data base under Tools -> Options -> Data -> Reset DataBase.
But attention, this will delete all your trade data (orders and executions) from the historical data base. However it should not touch your historical price data.
I was able to switch before today no problem while connected, today after the Rithmic problem was the first time I was unable to. I switch licenses to the SIM license while I'm not trading live for security reasons.
I did what you suggested and backed up prior. It worked - thanks. I put this question out via email to my broker and Ninja and posted here at futures.io (formerly BMT). futures.io (formerly BMT) (Fat Tails)was first and correct.....my broker and/or Ninja have yet to reply lol....Thanks again!
