basically simple stuff like
1. close half position etc so the strategy can continue doing it and execute instructions from outside.
Just have "program A" create a file in the NinjaTrader 7\tmp directory. Then have "program B" look for the file in the tmp file. If you need to pass any info you can do so via the text file, but use the filename to specify which strategy should be watching the file.
In the past I've used the time frame and instrument name as part of the filename so this can be easily passed along via the NinjaTrader (using the instrument or timeframe variable set via strategy/indicator). I used this method in order to implement a simple method of communication from one strategy to another.
