Those Ivona voices are amazing - I've never heard text-to-speech voices sound so realistic (or maybe I have and just didn't know it?) Consider me very impressed!

I listen to the Céline voice... and I don't speak French

I understand that you need some compensation for the pain to listen to Texan all day long.... , in some cases it could even be a relief to be deaf......

I agree that the Ivona voices are excellent.

@Fat Tails

You should hear me when I talk to my brother in Germany....

Auf Wiedersehen (Pronounced "Off Veeter Shane" in Texan ) ....Ya'll...

Honestly, I've never thought about the idea of trading alert voice stuff. Interesting idea though. Did a little Googling and came across this site:

https://acapela-box.com/AcaBox/index.php

Not sure if Box would be applicable, but they've got some pretty realistic voices and you can do tons of voice shaping.

I used the text from Ivona's site to let the voices have a go at the same material:

Hi, My name is Amy. I am just one of Ivona's natural sounding text to speech voices. I can work with SpeakComputers free text to speech software as well as Ivona's reader. Ivona's Reader is an easy-to-use text reader which converts any written text on your PC into spoken words. You can convert texts into mp3 files, copy them onto your portable mp3 player, and listen to them, anywhere at any time. IVONA Reader is compatible with all IVONA voices and other SAPI 5 standard voices installed on your computer.

I'm kinda partial to Heather (English US). With Speech Rate set to -20 and Voice Shaping set to +3, well some stuff sounds a little more interesting.

Edit: It also looks like the original idea is more of a scheduled task type objective, less of a market generated thing. If that's the case, any reason not to just use a desktop alarm that allows multiple alarms and the ability to play MP3 or other sound files?

2nd Edit: If such an alarm is an option, you may want to check this one out:

Free Alarm Clock for Windows

It's super tiny, a breeze to install, and painless to configure multiple alarms. I've also attached a ZIP of some voice files for the first four phrases (alliterate much? ) Hector provided.

I have no idea what you are doing. The zipped package includes a zipped indicator and the sound files. So you have to unzip the package first to separate the files. Then unzip the indicator zip file. Then import to NT. I have no issues with installation.

I have attached separate file here that you can install as follows:

1. Copy and paste the .cs file into tour bin/custom/indicator folder first, then edit an indicator (no change) and compile.
2. Copy and paste the sound files into your Ninja Sounds folder.

Then, apply the indicator, it should work.

Edit: for some reason the .wav sound files will not upload here. Just unzip your original download and use the sound files.

Edit: I did actually use ATT lab to record almost your exact 4 alerts text for these sound files.

Aligator thanks for the instructions. I may be missing this but when in line 2, you say copy and paste the sound files into your Ninja Sounds folder. Do you mean the same .cs file from line 1 and also where do I find the sounds foler in Ninja, for the life of me I can't find it. Or do I have to add a new folder to Ninja that says Sounds.

Thanks for your help,
Hector

@hector24,

You want to unzip the package that Alligator posted in the Downloads section and extract the files into a temporary folder. You will see a NT indicator (which is also a .zip file) and four sound files. Copy the *.wav files into the NT7 program folder - usually C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 7\sounds. If you have not already loaded the .cs file, you can then use the NT import function to load the mahTimeAlerts indicator.

ddnut and aligator, thanks for all your help but that did not work either. I don't know whether I am doing
something wrong or the path is not correct but either way. I appreciate your help. I must have
tried this 8 times and still did not have any success. Your help is greatly appreciated. I was able to
install the wav files into my ninja sounds folder and i was able to install the .cs time alert but I tried
to test it with the times but no luck. I was doing government time for my test and I am in central time.
So any other help from you or any other fellow traders would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks In Advance If Anyone Can Help...

Hector

Omni when I went to import the file Hector4.zip, Ninja tells me there are no files to import. Am I doing something wrong.

Thanks
Hector

Hi Hector -

You will need to follow the same type of steps as suggested by ddnut:

I don't use NT7 so I don't know if it allows you to import MP3 files instead of WAV files. My original suggestion was to use the MP3's with a freeware desktop alarm, and can't guarantee NT7 will behave similarly.
