Can NinjaTrader data be stored other than My Documents NinjaTrader 6.5
Moved from Programmers Paradise to Trading Platforms.
I don't know the answer for moving JUST ninja data, sorry. But, you should be able to move your entire My Documents folder pretty easily, and then anything that uses the windows variable to locate where to store files would move along with it.
I am using Windows XP. I don't want to move the whole "My Documents".
The reason I am asking this question is because there is a conflict between 2 DLLs in my Ninjatrader custom indicator directory. They have no problem if they are used separately but just can't co-exist.
One way I can get around is to have 2 different Ninja directories setup in "My Document" and only put each DLL into their own corresponding place. This will only work if I can startup NT6.5 and pointing to the corresponding directory.
I did try to install 2 different NT sessions in Program Files. When I try to install NJ the second time, it always recognize the first installion.
Just create two batch files, one icon calls one batch file, the other icon calls the other, and rename the conflicting DLL to something like conflicting.DLL.temp, so it is not loaded on startup.
