Back using, v. 8.0.4 a big improvement. I no longer have any "onRender" errors with OFA. Also seems to crash less. It starts up much faster than NT7.

Spoke too soon. I ran NT8 for several hours and went back to bed. When I woke up I saw the spinning wheels on my charts and then saw in task manager that it was using 3.5 gb (!!) of memory. I restarted Ninja.

Hopefully the next release addresses this.

My recommendation - in case you have not done so already - is to let NT support know. So that they can add to the list of issues if they don't have it.

Thanks xplorer. I found a thread on the NT forum talking about this and it may be an indicator issue. I suspect OFA may be the culprit, something in the code. Will send log and trace files to support and see what they say. If it's due to OFA will be letting OFA know too.

For now will run NT8 for several hours without OFA charts and see how it goes.

I am just running regular charts now. I see memory usage go as high as 1.4 gb but it goes back down to 840 mb or so. I am really thinking this is a matter of OFA modifying their code so this does not happen. Will report back what NT support says to me.

Only been running OFA charts for half an hour and memory usage has gone up to 2 gb:

It has gone back down to 1 gb.

Support had me send my Windows event log. I guess they cannot locate the issue, so now I've been asked to uninstall my current version and install an advance version of 8.0.5 and to use this from now on to see if the crashing still occurs.

Now using production release of 8.0.5. Not crashing like before but still serious memory leak issues. Here no charts are running but memory usage increases by the second:

I closed the workspace which brought memory down some but was still using 1.64 gb of memory. Have notified NT support.

Did you get notification of 8.0.5 and, if so, how?

I've been in contact a lot with NT support since last week and they notified me of the new release, just came out on Mar. 6. Can download it here:

NinjaTrader Direct Download

Appears some indicators I use are the cause of the memory leak. I took them off and memory has stabilized.
