I'll be buying a new trading PC soon. Would be good to hear recommendations from NT on what general spec features to aim for to get best performance from NT8. e.g. multi-core CPU ? AMD vs Intel , Graphics engine, etc.

Any updates since the last one
We are in march already.
I can't wait much longer

I read at one point that NT Brokerage clients were supposed among some of the first beta testers.
And as of today I've not heard anything from NT about version 8.

I am also on the NT Brokerage client list for beta testers. As of yet....

On a more positive note, I do appreciate Ray not releasing 8 until it is ready to go.

I don't have a problem with NT7, works perfectly for my requirements, and as some else has said, at least its stable

I'm curious, when market is moving fast doesn't ninjatrader freeze on you? My computer is a i7 processor with 32 GB RAM, still ninjatrader freezes during news.

definitely intel i5 or i7 or Xeon. More Cores the better

at least 16 MB to make use of those cores, 32MB if you don't have a dedicated video card

SSD Drive - However, a traditional drive will give you an early warning system. If ticks are comming in fast, you will hear the drive noise ratchet up, even though you are watching higher time frame intervals. Drives and motherboard bus speeds are the biggest bottlenecks in computers today. You future proof at the motherboard level.

Video - it's mostly about connectivity options. Good example is the Nvidia NVS line for multiple monitors.

Whats this vaporware NT8 everybody is talking about? YOu guys actually bought Nt7 and opened an NT brokerage account? Loosers!

This computer also has 256 GB SSD and 3TB Hard Drive, still ninjatrader freezes when market is moving fast. I bought this computer thinking the previous computer was the problem. Now I know the problem isn't computer at all.
