Hi everyone,

I just joined the forum today. I'm an entry level C# developer a little trading experience (novice). I've been using NinjaTrader for about a week now...I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on the best way to use this forum to learn how to develop systems with C#/ninjaScript or any sites that provide a tutorial style format? Basically what I'm trying to ask is how do I get up to speed as fast and efficiently as possible considering that I have a relatively shallow foundation when it comes to the OO side C# but I can handle most of the task that can be dealt with from an event driven perspective...

I need for some one to point in the right direction on how to start up this learning curve hill!

First, for references: NinjaScript Educational Resources - [AUTOLINK]NinjaTrader[/AUTOLINK] Support Forum .
Then, the best way for learning is, imho, to build your own indicator/strategy.
Just begin by simple things, for example something which plot a dot after a gap, or painting a falling EMA in red, a rising in blue...
Or if you have your own ideas, try to build something, and then read NT official forum, their is a lot of things to read...

welcome to our place here !
its very new (2 weeks or so) - so there are no big resources of strategy-coding-suff yet. maybe also look arround at the ninjatrader-support-forum - there are very specific threads arround this topic.
if you have concrete questions, feel free to ask them here in our programmers paradise corner!

thanks for referring me to the ninja trader forum, i'm a member of the forum but it seems that forums only address specific issues and i'm looking for something more "structured" and the ninjaTrader doc is superficial...maybe i'm just being LAZY and asking for someone to hold my hand! you know what? i'm just going to put in the time and effort and pay my dues!!!! i just realized this very moment: 1) i'm going to actively participate in this forum in conjunction with ninjaTraders forum and 2) CODE, CODE and CODE! there's no other way to get what i'm looking for other than stop being average and do what it takes to be slightly more than average.

thanks everyone for taking the time to read my "cry baby" post and responding. i apologize for wasting you time.

And good book to learn C# for beginners and experts from other programming languages ... like c++ or java ...
