I was trying to upload some of Perry's new indicators and i've made a total mess of my Ninja platform. I've got errors on the logbook for two indicators (NewVisualSMA) and MASlopeMulti which i can't find in control panel/tools/edit/indicators nor by going to docs/ninja7/bin/custom/indicators to completely delete. And because there are errors in log, i can't delete individual indicators (because they are invariably related to something else--and i don't know how to tease them apart) and neither can i import other ninja script. I tried to delete all indicators (actually saved as backup file) but now when i try and open ninja, i'm dead in the water--something's not talking to something--so i don't have any ninja charts nor the frustration of trying to fix it.
Can someone tell me how to reload ninja and move forward so i can get back up and running. (i sent in request --two requests to NT this morning--no word back from them). I don't understand Ninja programming, so keep it simple please--thanks for your help.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
if you have autoback up turn on then all you have to do is rename ninjatrader 7 folder under document folder into something else ninjatrader 7 old for example, then install a fresh copy of ninja then file, utility, restore and pick the date you want to restore.
btw, visualMA is assembly file you remove it by file, uitlity, remove ninja assembly file
@cory, thanks for your reply. now--where would one find autoback? you're talking to an old lady here--so i don't understand quite what you mean. my ninja platform isn't coming up at all, but i could manoeuvre things in the docs/ninja section if you can be a bit more specific.
Also, this makes sense --and i shall do this--but then i'm still left with the rogue indicators that are holding my ninja hostage. how will i get rid of those? but perhaps i'm putting the cart in front of the horse? let's get ninja back up first. Thanks a lot,
