Important: TWS version and Ninjatrader

Hi everyone

Today I got an info that says IB does after 2012/20/02 not support anymore the TWS version 917.8.
Now everybody knows that NinjaTrader does not support the newest TWS version.
Question now is, does somebody have the TWS 917.9 and does it work with NinjaTrader?
And when the answer is Yes - Yes, can you be so kind and post the file

The last version I had installed that TWS posted this alert quit working and would not load until you upgraded. I think that was 906.??

So I think that means "won't work any more?"

It is a bad habit of NinjaTrader developers to wait until the very last minute to adapt NinjaTrader to the Interactive Brokers API.

TWS 917.8 will be desupported on February 24, so they still have got 20 days to solve the issue.

History repeats itself. Nobody could ever foresee that version 906.8 would be desupported in December 2011. Also it was quite unlikely that Christmas would fall on December 25 that year.

And there was definitely no hint that version 917.8 will be desupported on February 24.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime occurence, as were the financial crisis in 2009 and as was the demise of LTCM.

NinjaTrader developers made it 8 days prior to the desupport date for TWS 917.8

The latest release of NinjaTrader 7 is compatible with TWS 921.5

I just don't get it why NT doesn't support the latest version of TWS.

The CEO himself told us that he created ninjatrader because he was a IB customer who wanted good charts. IB was one of the first brokers NT worked with.

I mean, if sierracharts, buttontrader and many others can keep up with TWS why not ninjatrader ?

It's a great combination, ninjatrader for the charts and IB for the brokerage!! I love the combo!!

I just don't get it why NT doesn't support the latest version of TWS.

I just downloaded 923.8b - latest version of TWS - seems to work fine with the new release of Ninja.

Placed trades with OCO orders - all went well.....
