NT uses your system time. So to change the time on your charts, you would have to change the timezone of your windows clock on the taskbar.

If you do not want to change the time zone of your system clock, NinjaTrader will only allow you display charts in your local time. This is not a problem, if you make proper use of session templates.

There are a few inconvenients:

-> for some data feeds (for example Interactive Brokers) there will be false daily data, you would need to use Kinetick EOD data
-> if you want to import data files that have been exported in EST you may experience problems

also, if you change your time zone on the PC - please download yourself the historical data fresh afterwards.

I am on Pacific time but the charts are on Eastern time. Anyway to fix the 3 hour offset?

NinjaTrader uses the time of your PC to display the charts. If you are on Pacific Time and your PC is set to Pacific time, the charts will be on Pacific time.

Make sure to use proper session templates for all instruments in order to have correct session breaks.

The problem was with IB, not Ninja Trader. The latest TWS rev from IB fixed the problem. The charts now reflect the computer local time.

Thanks for your reply.

Hi there,

I have the same problem here:

I use MT4 for analysis (MBT feed) and NT for chart trading (MBT feed) but charts are set differently. And I am located in France.

I changed my Pc clock to match the MT4 chart time and then changed my template session to "Default 24/5" in NT (and then reload all historical data) but I still have my local time charts in NT...

My goal is simply to have the same candles in NT and MT4...

Do you guys have any idea of what I did wrong?
