Importing Historical Minute Data into Ninjatrader

I hope someone can help me with this. I'm having a big problem trying to import historical 1 minute data from Historical Market Data into Ninjatrader. The format is different than Ninjatraders so I can't get the sample file to import and display on a chart.

Is there an easy way to do this? As I want to be able to back test my strategy in Ninja

I've attached the sample file. But I'd really appreciate an idiots guide to this as I've never used Ninjatrader before and I'm finding it a very annoying program to use and am getting nowhere fast.

Cheers

David

Thanks for your response, but that's a bit long winded for what I want to do. As the the one minute data from pitrading.com goes back to 1991 and there is 295 symbols to import.

I got a response from pitrading as well, and they have a converter which converts ASCII files to the Ninjatrader format which you can download here: http://pitrading.com/ascii2nt. You just need to drag and drop the ASCII file onto it and it converts it. I tested it on the sample file and it worked perfectly.

You would need to ask for help from pittrading, they are qualified to provide support for their own product. I unfortunately am not familiar with it to provide any assistance.

Portara

If you go to the portaraninja website under powerusers and education and watch the video you will see how the NinjaTrader importer works with historical data in full with examples for your location and how the importer settings operate properly and how to set them for your data and your location. Its complex because of DST which needs to be taken into account. So caution there...

Thanks
