I've actually been amazed how well it has done for entries in a 2 week back test using a 15 tick stop and target. I understand your advice and will be trying to match it up with a supportive indicator. Thanks again.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
A 2-week backtest may not be enough, as during those 2 weeks there may have been a trending environment that favoured the Supertrend strategy. Any backtest should include trending and non-trending periods, and you should have a sample of at least 100, but better 200 trades. Also I would not do any backtest over a period of less than one year.
