Anyone know of an indicator that would occupy say the top right or part of a screen and would allow me to pre-program the # of ticks to switch to.
For example, I trade on the 144 chart, but say I want to switch back and forth between the 144 and 610. Does anyone know of a button that could be pressed to switch them back-n-forth?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Take it a step further and just have 'quick' buttons to switch to your favorite chart sizes, like a 5M, 6R, 4H, 1D, etc etc etc... just some buttons next to each other...
Oh to answer your question: sorry, I don't know how to do it or if it is even possible with Ninja
I do not know such a button. But several things come to my mind:
(1) You can select the chart and simply type "610T", then enter and "144T", then enter to get back, or use this feature with a Hotkey.
(2) If you switch from 610 ticks to 144 ticks, NinjaTrader will reload the chart and replace real-time with historical ticks, which will take some time and may also change some of your bars. So I would try to have both dataseries loaded on the chart and use an indicator, which sets one of them to transparent. It is definitely feasible to add two buttons in your taks bar, one of them being labelled 610 and the other one 144 to switch on and off the bar series, where switching off means simply transparent.
Changing bar colors would not reload the chart and will not take any time. However, you will hate the non-equidistant bar spacing.....

If you have them open then use ALT TAB and/or SHIFT ALT TAB, play with these ideas
Don't have too many other windows open, it will be too confusing in WIN7
Good Luck
