Ray has stated already that NT8 will support native bid/ask historical backfill for supported data connections. IQFeed and Kinetick would be two supported examples.

I don't know if this is already listed.

R Trader has option to be able to connect to a specific Rithmic server location (like Singapore or Tokyo). I can't find an option in Ninja Trader to be able to do the same. It would be much better if Ninja Trader would allow users to connect to what specific server location.

Like if we want to show a vertical line at 12:45pm and it is still 11:30am well we should be able to have the line there waiting and with a TIME LABEL on the X-AXIS.

That would be great.

Is it possible to have better trade markers on Ninja ?

I really like to see the historical trades on occasion == BUT those arrows pointing down really get in the way and MIX with whatever system you have on the chart that uses ARROWS to display something.

Is it possible to have the trades -=- but without the downward pointing arrows? and maybe a dotted line joining the buy and sell

Something like that would be cool.


I really like FXCM's platform's way of showing it... it will just show arrows and if you hover on the arrow - the arrow gets bigger DENOTING ITS POSITION SIZE The arrow will expand corresponding to the position size of the trade.

If you sold 2 lots -- the arrow is X amount of pixels wide and tall.

Then if you sell 4 lots -- the arrow will be twice as big as that first one...

And it will make a line joining the entry and exit.

It is pretty cool.

But I would just like NOT having those downward and upward arrows with the trade history really.

Can we make an indi - that maybe takes out those arrows... or sets them to transparent... or just plots your trade history but with the sideways triangles..?

I realize many issues arise from users attempting to alter, as well badly coded indis imported or added to the platform but does not change the fact that when I call or e-mail support I get same response.
"oh just un-install NT and re-install(sorry for lose all your settings) that is not very professional and ( oh just go to such and such folder and delete\rename etc what gives?? ) I am not trying to be harsh, just realistic from other platforms I have tested.
Yes all I realize I do not have to use NT, just some thoughts to ponder?

Perhaps one would like to enter 10 contracts and take 1 off every 10 ticks?

Not currently achievable as far as I can tell. We are only permitted 3 targets.

IIRC, this was covered in one of the several NT8 webinars on futures.io (formerly BMT), and again IIRC there is no limit in NT8.
