I don't know. I haven't deleted any in 3 weeks. I need to check what I have imported. This situation is only a few days old.

I think this is only really a problem if you try to manually delete something out of the "My Documents ->NinjaTrader7->bin->Custom" Folder, where the 3rd party indicators reside?

I did this a long time ago, and I honestly cant remember if I had to re-install NT7 after putting the files back? At any rate, if you keep your things(indies, templates) in your folder, you should be fine if you have to install NT7 ontop of the old installation..

I would rename My Documents/Ninjatrader 7 to My Documents/Ninjatrader 7 Backup, then uninstall NT7, go to C:\Program Files and delete all remaining NT7 folders, if any, then reinstall NT7 and reimport each indicator one at a time until you isolate the problem.

................................in my case, that is pretty much what i'm dreading!!

since there are almost 400 indicators in my file

Maybe you could try just saving off your templates and indicator folder to desktop as suggested by Vegas, then leaving the ninja installation as is, and then re-installing NT7 over the top of your current installation?

At least before you have to do everything one by one.

you have to many inefficient indis they just simply catching up to you. Rename your nt7 folder, install a clean copy then restore from one of the known good backup date.

It is your fault, if you install too many faulty indicators. Actually do you trade indicators or futures?

It is not difficult to repair NinjaTrader. These are the steps to follow. You will lose your instrument settings (in particular rollover dates and offset) and your custom session templates will be destroyed afterwards. You will need to reinstall all your assemblies (as few as possible please). Otherwise you will be fine.

The process is reversible, so you cannot lose anything.

(1) Shut down NinjaTrader.
(2) Rename the folder Own Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 to Own Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 Old
(3) Start NinjaTrader. You will need to reenter your NinjaTrader license key. NinjaTrader will now recreate a clean NinjaTrader7 folder.
(4) Shut down NinjaTrader.

(5)You will now manually copy the files, which you like from -> NinjaTrader 7 Old to NinjaTrader 7
These are the things that you want to copy

-> your database (NinjaTrader 7 -> db)
-> your indicators (NinjaTrader 7 -> bin -> Custom -> Indicator (please do no copy them all, but just the ones that you know are safe, do not copy the system indicators starting with @ either))
-> your strategies (NinjaTrader 7 -> bin -> Custom -> Strategy
-> your custom types (NinjaTrader 7 -> bin -> Custom -> Type
-> your templates (NinjaTrader 7 -> templates)
-> your workspaces (NinjaTrader 7 -> workspaces)

(6) After copying the files, start NinjaTrader and edit one of the indicators and compile it via F5.
(7) You can now add your account connections.
(8) Your session templates and custom instrument settings are lost. You have to reenter them.

(9) Otherwise you will be fine.

(10) If you do not like the outcome of this process, you can then rename your folder NinjaTrader 7 Old to NinjaTrader 7, and you can then try again to solve your problem in a different way, but no information has been lost.

Good luck.
