@Silvester17,

Oh have totally overlooked that.

I haven't attached the indicator but rather the link to it. So I´m not sure now if he can access it. On the other hand, RYap already ownes the PAS.
Maybe @Big Mike can have a look if it´s ok or delete my post as necessary.

PAS is available to everyone, including from the download section.

Mike

@Abde,

there's a little problem. @RYap is not an elite member.

but I believe it's ok to post the indicator here, because @dorschden made it clear that his indicator is for everybody.

At the risk of confusion, I will copy my post and files from the elite indicator thread to here for reference.

"In @dorschden priceaction swing thread, Nicetrade wrote: My previous request for adding audio alert in divergence may be too much since the divergence signal keeps moving till fixed so that might be too many alerts. Then please just add an audio alert for DT/DB with sound file selectable from my hard drive since

Dorschden replied: @nicetrade, I can't promise anything, but maybe in October I'll add the option to use alerts for different things. Until then maybe somebody else can help you.

With apologies to @dorschden (beautiful code bludgeoned by my intrusion) I have modified PriceActionSwingPro. I added one bool to turn on voice alerts for DT/DB, I added two inputs for two separate sound files, I added the simple Playsound in the area when the labels are, so as a result DB/DT labels must be turned on as well. I also created two voice alerts which can be placed anywhere or if you prefer you can use your own sounds. Whichever you use, you will need to input the complete path and filename, for each sound.

With apologies to @jmont1, exposure is something with which i am unfamiliar, thus not my paygrade.

I'm not sure how this will install with the existing PriceactionSwingPro. It is possible that you may have to remove the .CS file and replace it with the one in the attached zip and then recompile."

Regards.

I find the PriceActionSwingPro indicator (and the oscillator) to be a very good and helpful indicator but the indicator is based on the high of the bar/candle. I prefer looking at waves based on the close price and so I wonder if it would be possible to add an option / parameter so one can choose to use the indicator based on the high or on the close of a bar? I think this will make the indicator a little better.

Regards,
Mitch

Hello,

I had an older version of the PAS and it had triangle pattern formations which would display bold lines (green or red) and a continuation expectation arrow soon after the pattern had formed.

It doesn't look to me like that feature is available anymore in the latest version and found its function to be very interesting and would like to explore that more.

If anybody has this version or can post a snippet of the code which enabled this function I'd be very appreciative!

Thanks,

Phil

@Tasker_182:
Thanks for your contribution.
Your update with addition of audible alerts for DT & DB are very useful.

In the same lines, is it possible to add following TWO sound alerts after print of following swings:

(1) HL (2) LH.

Also, is it possible to add the sound alerts during following BREAK-OUTevents:

(1) when a HL swing is taken out by the swing that is going to form LL swing.
(2) When a LH swing is taken out by the swing that is going to form HH swing.

Appreciate your help and thanking you in advance.

Regards,

Raj1

P.S.:Request @dorschden to consolidate all these alerts when he updates in Oct.13'. I really thank for his outstanding contribution by gifting such an wonderful indicator to all of us.

Thanks for the thanks. I don't have much time available and @dorschden's code while a thing of beauty can cause brain hemorrhages when read to quickly. In other words, don't hold your breath...

@TASKet_182
Thanks for your quick reply.

While using your DT/DB signal sound alerts, I find that many of the signals fails when the swings take-out prior HH swing OR prior LL swing.

Hence, in order to honor the DT/DB sound alerts and enter the trade, we may need yet another sound alert for each of DT and DB signals like in the case of ABC Pattern long entry and short entry alerts after formation of DT & DB.

I suggest following two alerts for DT & DB entries:

(1) DT Short Entry sound alert
(2) DB Long Entry sound alert

As you are pre-occupied at the moment, hope @dorschden takes note of this observation when he takes up the work for new version.

Regards,

Raj1

Here are some answers for the last questions in this thread. Thanks to @Silvester17 for answering some questions along the way and @futuretrader for providing the PAS with a swing histogram.

@typer77, the swing is first fix and will not change anymore if there is a new swing. Otherwise the indicator would repaint, because we don't know the point when the swing is finished.

@tst1, that's pretty simple just add in the code in the "CalcDnSwing(…)" function in the region "New and update Swing values" in the in first if-statement ("if (!updateLow)") part
PlaySound("AudioFileName");
where AudioFileName is the name of the audio file and which has to be in the NinjaTrader 7/sound folder. Do the same thing in the "CalcUpSwing(…)" function and you are ready.

@djkiwi, in the newer version I put the "SwingRelation" Dataseries in the PriceActionSwingOscillator to keep the PAS simple. Just change the "PriceActionSwing" to "PriceActionSwingOscillator" and it should work:

swingRelation = PriceActionSwingOscillator(Input, dtbStrength, swingSize, swingType).SwingRelation;

@supermht, this isn't possible in this PAS version. You can code it relative easily yourself. In the "Swing calculation" region you have to replace the "High"/"Low" data series with the "Close" series.

@marty73, this isn't possible. But you can code it yourself. Just add a Dataseries variable and in OnBarUpdate save the retracement values in this variable. Then you have to make this Dataseries public and now you can access this Dataseries in the MA.

@sburtt,
1. In the source code set the variable "divergenceMode" in the variables region to "DivergenceMode.Custom".

2./3. The Regular Divergence Signal updates (re-prints) with every change in the swing value. The signal is not fix, because at this point it isn't safe to assume, that the swing is finished.
The Regular Divergence Entry occurs if the swing is complete and at this point the divergence signal will not change anymore.

4. You can use in your strategy the Dataseries "AbcSignals" and "DivergenceSignals" and check the values of this data series to know in which state they are.

@jmont1, sorry, but due to several reasons I'll not discuss and share strategy related things. I haven't traded or even looked at the mentioned strategy in a while, so I don't have any idea how the strategy would run this days. But it is relative simple to create such a strategy yourself or with a little help.

@dorschden

At the outset, I would like to thank you for contributing such an amazing indicator to all of us. While using your indicator for the last couple of weeks, I observed that there is a scope to further improvements to enter the trades more confidently.

Following are my Observations and Requests for possible inclusion and consideration, while you revise the code for the next new version:

(A) REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL SOUND ALERTS:

Addition of following sound alerts with user assignable Audio file names like in the case of ABC LONG/SHORT ENTRY ALERTS under ALERTS window of indicator parameter panel. :
These alerts shall be after the respective swing is complete and swing signal does not change anymore.

SWING ENTRY SOUND ALERTS FOR FOLLOWING SWINGS:

1. DT Short Entry
2. DB Long Entry
3. HL swing Long entry
4. LH swing Short Entry
5. Regular Divergence Long Entry
6. Regular Divergence Short Entry
7. Hidden Divergence Long Entry
8. Hidden Divergence Short Entry

SWING BREAK-OUT ALERTS:

(1) Breakout Short Entry -when a HL swing of the previous Up Trend is taken out by the Down swing that is going to form a LL swing.
(2) Breakout Long Entry - When a LH swing of the previous Down Trend is taken out by the Up swing that is going to form a HH swing.

(B) OBSERVATIONS ON DIVERGENCE INDICATOR :

With my UniRenko Candles and MACD BBlines oscillator(12,26,9), the RD/HD lines are getting drawn between almost all swing HHs & LLs and does not reflect true divergences. I am not sure why that is occurring to me. However, with my another RD/HD indicators viz., ECIDiv_v4 that is available in futures.io (formerly BMT) gives me correct indications as per following logic. Hence, I request you to review your code for possible correction, if any.:
LOGIC:
Regular Divergence Short Signal: @ PRICE HH swing when MACD oscillator has LH swing
Regular Divergence Long Signal : @ PRICE LL swing when MACD oscillator has HL swing
Hidden Divergence Short Signal: @ PRICE LH swing when MACD oscillator has HH swing
Hidden Divergence Long Signal : @ PRICE HL swing when MACD oscillator has LL swing

Due to above reason, I would like to continue using my ECIDiv_v4 divergence indicator and hence would like to Block the code relating to divergence signals and alerts in your indicator. For doing this change, can you please advise on which are the lines in your code do I need to insert the comment forward slashes.?

(C) CONCLUSION:

I am sure and confident that with above stated inclusions and modifications one can very confidently take trade entries without any other indicators but for price candles coupled with your price action entry alerts, like Big Mike.

Thanking you once again for your contribution to the trading community.

Regards,

Raj1

@Raj1, my experience seems to be that DT/DB is sounded if the indi is COBC is false. If COBC is true then it will not sound alert if the price moved through it.

This is a primary reason I am using the indicator as COBC false.

I am sorry, I do not understand the term COBC.
Can you please tell me how to set COBC =True?
Thanks in Advance.
