Given the summer doldrums and the market environment lately there haven't been a lot of good signals. I just started using the MA last week so once the market gets back to normal that will be a better gauge as I'm still testing it. Basically, I just want to use it to scan the market for potential setups. I did add alerts with sound so that works well also. Here is another screenshot from today's market........Cal
may I suggest this addition for any future release? I tried to add the rays under the "swing visualization type" myself, but created more of a mess than anything else.
If the idea is to extend naked swing highs/lows until they are traded through, that is exactly what I use on my Sierra charts. It's built-in to the ZigZag tool there and I find it very helpful. In Sierra, the price has to trade thru by a margin/percentage that you define, not just 1 tick.
Hello I hope this message finds you well. I am new to the threads here so if I am in the wrong for sending this message please let me know. I read a thread concerning a Price Action Swing indicator. I saw that the indicator could be using in NinjaTrader. I am with Etrade. I am wondering can this indicator be downloaded for Etrade as well. I already tried to download Price Action Swing, it did download to my desktop.
There's a change I want to put into my personal version of this indicator but I thought I'd suggest this as an enhancements instead. An alternate color scheme for the swing lines...

On Upswings
- If the volume of this upswing is GREATER than the volume of the prior downswing - color it green
- If the volume of this upswing is LESS than the volume of the prior downswing - color it red
On the downswings
- If the volume of this downswing is GREATER than the volume of the prior upswing- color it red
- If the volume of this downswing is LESS than the volume of the prior upswing- color it green
@dorschden i was wondering about a couple of features for your indie..
-ability to set the time format to minutes and hours with separators so its easier to read on the swings?
-have it so as the swing is being built in a location where the most recent number is posted, increment with the current volume/time instead of it holding to update before the swing is completed?

This looks like one great indicator, now if I can only get all of the pieces together and learn how to use it properly. Many thanks to the author, @dorschden, and to all that have contributed improvements.
Cal, would you please upload your latest version of the MA template with the multiple ABC, divergence, etc. columns with the MA alerts. Also, I can see that for each column/period that you want to put into MA that an appropriately set PriceActionSwing or ...SwingPro needs to be added to the columns panel but, how does one get them in there? There's nothing like that selectable in the upper left Columns panel!
