Many

SwingTrendX.cs is like a template to use the variable Trend== 1 to filter Long and Trend== -1 for shorts
Marcelo

Marcelo.
So you mean it's an "indicator" template (to add conditions to the indicator ?)
And import it into the Indicator Folder...not the Strategy Folder ?

Thx
PS: it's zt379...not Many

Many thx (from zt379 that is...)

Hi, I am also working on the same direction, and found out that this strategies can come up with good results when adding a Daily Profit Target ( this means make some amount of ticks and then not trade anymore ) and filter the time to be in the market

If you want we can share efforts and end with a strategy per market

Marcelo

Hi Marcelo,

Pl. bear with my belated reply.

I would love to join you to contribute in your efforts, only I am not a programmer; only learnt some codings, thanks to futures.io (formerly BMT), with which I am able to tweak certain aspects.

I also came out with a thought if only the percentage of change can be made to be dynamic, meaning can be displayed in real time as the price moves, instead of at the end of the swing, I feel it would be terrific.

Hello there

Im new in futures.io (formerly BMT) and I want to thank u all for all the nice threads: they really help those who are just starting like me.
I noticed that this indicator sometimes plot Red or Green line at random in the chart. If you look at the chart in post #1 for example, u'll see some random lines. Do they have any function?

Regards

Hi Marcelo

The picture is on the first page of this thread, post #1. U can see an example after the Green ABC pattern in the middle of that picture. Then there is another ABC pattern, to its right, with another random red line departing from the price. As I said, Im new and these lines might have some kind of function which is obscure to me.

Regards

This chart, for example, is from yesterday. They look like some sort of bits of an ATR trailing stop.

I've been wondering the same thing Michael

Love to hear what the little squiggles are. I am using PAS with other indicators on my tick charts to confirm my trades. Trying to become more mechanical, so I am not chasing. Still working up a system and would love to hear more details about PAS (especially if the little lines are of any consequenc).

Bryant

Glad to hear someone else has noticed them, Bryant. It's surprising no one has talked about so far. I went through the all 34 pages of the thread. I mean, these squiggles are so clear from the picture in post #1, hardly to miss something so asymmetric. Lets hope someone sheds some light on it.

those are the historical entry lines for the ABC pattern.

lets say a bullish ABC pattern is forming. this indicator will also create an entry line. now if you get a lower point C, the triangle will go away, but the lines will stay if you select "entry line historical" to true. if set to false, the triangle and the lines will go away.

hope I'm making sense.

Hi Silvester

Thank u for taking the time to explain: yes, it makes sense what u r saying. I did switch it to False in the PAS menu and the lines are still there. So it seems that once formed they cannot be removed by simply setting that option to false. I should see live if that is indeed the case.

Regards
