@RYap,

I thas nothing to do with the Alert window. You have to put the desired sound files in the NT sounds folder (C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 7\sounds).
Than you can choose them via indicatior menu in the alert section.

hope this helps.

Hi Abde, thanks for the reply. Sorry, I don't quite understand your point. I set it as Alert1.wav which is already in the \sounds folder? I have also checked that Alert1.wav is indeed in the \sounds folder on my computer.

I also tried changing the field to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7\sounds\Alert1.wav'. There is no sound either.

Hi RYap, are we talking about the same indicator, the PASPwithDBDTsound like in the attached image? The sounds working fine with me.

@Abde,

I think he's talking about the abc pattern alert.

@RYap,

if you changed the alert to: Alert1.wav in the indicator window, then it should work. unless you forgot to set "abc patttern" to "long, short or long and short". it's under swing features.

edit: also if you use a sound file that is not supported by nt, you'll find an error message in the control center log: "unable to play sound file ..."

Thanks for all the answers so far. Seems perhaps I may have misunderstood the functions/settings. Maybe I should take a step back and explain what I am looking for.

I would like an alert sound whenever the red / green / yellow dots are plotted on the chart so I do not need to stare at the screen the whole time. How can I do this and what settings are required?

@Abde: Can I know where to find the PASPwithDBDTsound indicator? My version is PriceActionSwingPro. Thanks!

I wish I could attach a screenshot but this limitation of having 5 post is just weird. Thanks for taking time trying to understand and help!

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

Thanks Mike, it works!

To follow up my the question, I have attached a screenshot of my indicator setting.

Does anyone know if the indicator is able to activate a sound alert whenever the green / red / yellow dots are plotted?

Thanks!!!

EasyLanguage version available?

Hi! I was so intrigued by this indicator that I just had to get hold of NinjaTrader to see it live! It is great - thanks!!!!! I do however currently use TradeStation, and therefore I wonder: Has this been translated to EasyLanguage? I do a little programming on my own, but having walked through the code in NinjaTrader I am pretty convinced that I am NOT able to do this myself.....

@RYap,

The PASPwithDBDTsound indicator is a modification from @Tasker_182 and itīs also named PriceActionSwingPro. You can find it besides the DBDT sound files in post #8306 here:https://futures.io/elite-circle/1261-want-your-ninjatrader-indicator-created-free-831.html#post345623
And donīt forget tu use the thanks button.

There are no alerts for the red / green dots (HH-LH-HL-LL) but for the yellow dots (DT-DB).

@Abde,

there's a little problem. @RYap is not an elite member.

but I believe it's ok to post the indicator here, because @dorschden made it clear that his indicator is for everybody.

@Silvester17,

Oh have totally overlooked that.

I haven't attached the indicator but rather the link to it. So Iīm not sure now if he can access it. On the other hand, RYap already ownes the PAS.
Maybe @Big Mike can have a look if itīs ok or delete my post as necessary.
