I like to have data displayed at each swing high and low, but it seems like this indicator doesn't consistently plot this for all the swings. Please see attached picture.

Is this a common error or am I doing something wrong?

I was at my other computer so this is for NT7, but I do think I've seen the same on NT8. As can be seen on this picture this entire day is ignored. On preceding and following days swing points are also missing. That is, all swings as plotted. It's just the data labels that are missing. Scrolling back and forth doesn't help.

Best regards and thanks.

you just need to change the text color. white text on white background is creating this problem

Ah. Thanks a lot, Silvester!

Since some of the chart was working it didn't occur to me that the text setting was incorrect. That solved it.

Now, if I could only have it restart at each session, this indicator would be a dream come true for me.

I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish with a restart at the beginning of each session. how are you going to define the very first swing point? I'm sorry, but that doesn't make any sense to me.

I day trade only. US Equities RTH 09:30-16:00. Also, for analysis and strategy, I don't really pay much attention to what goes on outside RTH.

Thus, I have no interested in creating swings between gaps.

I already have an indicator outside of NT that I use for analysis which resets at each trading session start. Also, I have access to an indicator in NT7 that was kindly given to me that also resets.

Swings are plotted based on a minimum swing size. So, if the market is down x ticks from the max to the min it's a confirmed down swing. Let's say x = 40 ticks. As soon as the market reverses 40 ticks up, it's a new up swing. And so it goes...

I used a low swing size setting on this one. If it's a higher setting, the difference is more significant.

Regardless, I have a methodology that I'm adhering to. I don't want swings plotted between gaps. PAS is in fact plotting swings that don't exist.

looks like the swings are identical. the only difference is the starting point for the first swing. I don't know what your methodology is, so maybe better if you use your indicator.

also could you please show an example with a swing that doesn't exist, including the settings. thanks

Swings in the middle of the session would be identical, in particular if using a smaller swing size filter. The effect is more pronounced using a larger filter (which I do).

The swings between gaps don't exist per my definition. Others may disagree with that and look at things differently than I do.

My current indicator works only for NT7.

Hello, is possible to change the "Auto Scale" and "Locked" in the ZigZag? Doing backtesting the chart got crazy with the end of the zigzags because of "Auto Scale" in the PriceActionSwing.

Thank you.

I'm not working on incoming alerts. I downloaded the zip file with the audio .wav and renamed it to match the names that come in the configuration but it still does not work. I put them in the Sounds folder.

Should we do more? I use NT8

Thanks

Hello, anyone can help me with this???

I try to do it myself changing the autoscale: true to False.. but still the same..

When the Zigzag appears it says in his properties "Auto Scale" and "Locked". I want the Locked but not the AutoScale

Please discuss the PriceActionSwing (PAS) indicator in this thread. Any comments or suggestions are more than welcome here. If you have a more private issue send me a PM or better an Email (you'll find the address in the top of the PriceActionSwing.cs script). Discussion about the newest version started here (last update 05.06.2014).

Hi, thanks for the great work!
In the case the at the turning point if there are several bars close in the same price, the indicator will choose the first one. How to make the turning point the last bar with the same price?
