Q1: imho, VPA indicator ( VPA-Volume Price Analysis (Price,Volume, Spread)) is derived from VSA-Tradeguider under a different commercial name. Like those ones as well, Emini Trading | Emini Day Trading | Emini Trading System, SMART Trader VSA Trainer and Signal Generation Module - Smart Money Analysis Real Time Product. Each in their own way, their work are inspired by the work of Tom Williams (VSA inventor) who based is work on the one of Richard Wyckoff.

Q2: For explanation of the markers, you can find attached a VPA Legend which i found here: VSA Indicator - Beta - NinjaTrader Support Forum

thanks for the files and the links... i did read Tom's book some time go ... just was not sure about all the markers.... my approach with vsa is a bit more simplyfied as i usually just look for background, stop volume, failed efforts and no demand/supply bars for my setups

Excellent indicator. Just wondering if it can be converted to MT? Thanks in advance.

You might want to try these:
VSA (tradeguider and VPA converted to MT4) @ Forex Factory
Full Coding for VSA & VPA (MT4 Codes)

Note: I did not tried those indicator, so can't talk about their efficiency. If you decide to try them, it would be nice to come back on this forum to share your experience.

As well, you can ask if somebody in this forum can program into MT 4.

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone was using the VPAv1 indicator on Think or Swim and knew how to configure ToS so that the candles would change color as the indicator dictates. Right now all my candles are gray. Any help would be appreciated.
