Ya know, we can make the DOM alert indicator talk, too. Giving spoken, meaningful messages read by Windows text to speech, constructed on the fly from programatically controlled concatenations of strings and variables. Instead of cryptic and meaningless sound files.

See old dormant thread called Let's Teach Ninjatrader How To Talk... it is not difficult. It works in a similar way to the technology in a GPS that gives spoken turn by turn directions with street names.

Zondor, thanks for connecting to this thread.

LostTrader provided terrific benefit for the indicator. It can do so much more to provide important alerts. Actual reading alerts is a great idea that I also saw in NT Support
NTSpeak speech function now available for NinjaTrader 7
NTSpeak is an optimized text-to-speech (TTS) wrapper ... But this is a chargeable option.

Central to the request here is adding sound alerts to the latest RealStats so it can go forward. Can you help with this?

My next request beyond the ones already stated would be for a separate sound alert for each of the alerts rather than just one. If it cannot be done, I can run the indicator twice but that is a waste of resources.

Can you add the separate alerts and assit with the minimum volume prior to percent alert?

LostTrader, are you able to add the minimum volume to the percentage indicator? Running it right now and lots of alerts since there is very little volume.

Also, having a separate alert for the percent and the volume would be great. I could run the indicator twice to accomplish this, but it would double the overhead on the system.

Any assistance is appreciated.

OK, I took a stab at this. It seems to run in spite of the thrown exceptions.
Bear in mind that I do not use the SuperDOM, I run this on a chart. No clue how it works without a chart.

BTW, you can make custom sound alerts you know (free). Some-one else posted this link.

Tried this version but each time I tried to add it to a chart it says it cannot be deserialized and seems to want a key.

Please let me know how to proceed to get this working.

ALSO, can you use the version 1.6 -- I am using because it says it has V301 in it so it should be a good version.

Thank you.

I simply import, compile, and then right click on a chart and select indicators... works here. See pic.

You should really look at the contents. I did use Zondor's version.

Good luck

Hi LostTrader,

Been a while since I looked at this indicator.

Virtually all indicators using OnMarketDepth need to coded for Exceptions. There are issues with the ladderRow that cause problems.

I think hooking the alarm to the Ask Bid ratios is best because it takes the overall size of the book out of the equation.

This allows for instant use in any market, even during off hours without having to change alert threshold values.

RJay

Tried using the last file again. Imported it. Opened DomAlert indicator - compiled it (never did that with other zips,) and attempted to use it. It tells me it is serialized and is missing a key.

Would you be able to reattach your latest file so I can try it one more time? Thank you.

Thanks for looking in, RJay! I agree, the try catch blocks are a great idea.

The Delta Alert is percentage based, and yes, it is more useful overall than the other. If I misunderstood you, let me know please.

There are some changes in the NT7 version, such as the triangle placement/text size and the histogram width, that I haven't figured out in the code. But I would alter them if I could figure out how.

I imported the file from futures.io (formerly BMT), and put it on a chart to be sure. I even re-compiled, and re-exported.
Last time.

I would suggest that you make sure your Windows & .NET are up to date.

Still getting Key cannot be null for parameter name: key

I can appreciate you are done trying to get this to work for me. Would just like to tell you that the version that simply allowed for a percentage alert is terrific and VERY much appreciated. This alone will make my life enriched since I can finaly stop staring at the screen all night.

If JRay or Zondor ot you ever create a new version with parameters as discussed above - I would be very grateful. THNK YOU ALL!
