Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

opening issue?

Hi

anyone else have problems with not the right opening on candles (3 line break wicked bars)?
It seems I have the latest version 7.0.1000.2, is there a way to fix this?

Very often the open marked on the candlestick is not the actual/right open....

thanks

Can you post a picture worth a thousand words? Thx.
Also, add Ninja's LineBreak bartype to the chart as well, for comparison.

You can´t see my "issue" with a pic., need a video. Ninja´s linebreak chart does the same.

Could someon explain when does the 3lbw calculate the open? And why does it change many times in the same candlestick?

I also had an issue today when I had a green candle and entry in 150tick 3lbw CL, but trade went to SL. Then I restarted the ninja trader, and then there where only red candles and no entry, why did it change, could it be a 3lbw error?
I had the old 3lbw when this happened and after this I installed the new 3lbw. LineBreakWickedBarsType_NT7_20110516.
I have talked to ninja trader, they are looking at it but it looks like there is no solution. The error accured in 150tick 3lbw at 9:55 in CL this morning.

thanks

Leo

First thing I'd suggest is to read how a LineBreak chart works. Google it. You shouldn't be trading with a bar type that you don't know how it works.
If refreshing or reloading the chart gives you different results than when the chart was running live, that would be caused by poor data/internet feed or your computer is not fast enough to calculate a LineBreak chart in real time.

Hi everyone!

I found that with LB bars i have to constantly reload the data to keep it smooth. Is there any way to keep data clean without reloading it?

Thanks

My experience so far is that if you backtest, use Market Replay, and also trade live real money there seems to be a big difference in the regular Line break and Line Break Wicked (with wicks). It seems like it just should be showing extra info on each bar (nothing inerrantly different in the formation and performance of the LB bars themselves) but there is something else wrong I believe. The formations of the bars also look different in the LBWicked. The LBWicked performs significantly less than the regular LB.

Can someone potentially look at the code and try to make the LBWicked exactly the same bar formations with the wicks as the normal LB bars that is stock in NT? The backtesting, market replay, and live trading should perform about the same if not exactly the same as the regular LB.

I am using LB all the time...for months...so, I am not just looking at it one time here...just wanted to contribute here some and see if we could improve the original LBWicked.

TLB Wick for NT8

zacharydw00 View Post
Well the title pretty much says it all, and the screen shot points out the wick.
I haven't found any issue with it, but I am going to label it a beta for a few months to let other people try and break it. After that, I will clean up the code (remove all the rem'd out junk) and post it in the d/l section. This is a modification of the 7.0.1000.2 code which is drastically more efficient then NT's earlier LB code. Should there be any issues with the logic I expect to hear form ya. Thanks.
If this bar type is conflicting/overwrites another bar type, there are instructions on how to fix it on line 31 in the code. Some where on this site is instruction on how to edit and compile a bar type. Search for it.
Several bar styles are available in this version.

Latest version available in the Elite section:
https://futures.io/free_downloads/vip_elite_circle/908-download.html

As a reminder, Ninja requires a restart after importing a bartype.

I would like to have this TLB with Wick converted to NT8. Anyone can help?

I know that some people choose to make files available for free. But I am willing to pay Zacharydw00 to update this LB Wicks to NT8. Thanks
