To me simple is better..... I don't want to look at too many indicators. Besides, all indicators are doing is telling me is what the price is doing so.... why not learn to read price action? Some of the tools that help me do this are the 50 EMA and …
attached is my attempt to start a barcount feature within this indicator for something new i'm cooking up...
i was using a 30 second chart so i could watch it count. problem is, it's not placing the barcount # above/below the candle for the correct colored candle. See bar #376. When first loaded, it works for past bars. But for counting the current bar in realtime, it's not working... I thought using "FirstTickOfBar" would help solve this but i'm sure there's a few bigger issues. There's not a "LastTickOfBar".... What else would help it to count properly and place the correct box above or below the candle. Or do I need to perform this operation only on completed candles...
Anybody's help is much appreciated.

Does it work on COBC true? If not, then FirstTickOfBar isn't going to solve anything. In fact, FirstTickOfBar looks only at the first tick, so if the first tick is higher, the whole bar is marked as an Up bar.
You probably need to take out the +CurrentBar for the DrawText id if you want it to re-draw in real time and overwrite the label. Then create a new function that draws the DrawText historically 1 bar in the past with a permanent id.
