NT Platform problem/question

Guys,

Not sure if this is a good place to ask a NT platform question, but here goes.

When I first downloaded NT in June, all the indicators seemed to be working fine, but now things seem to be much slower (I have downloaded dozens of indicators to look at) and indicators are not coming up properly.

For instance, any of the indicators with paint bars and text would all load in Panel 1.
Now indicators like gpPriceAction and the candle recognition indicators load the text in Panel 2, even when Panel 1 is selected.

I have uninstalled the indicators in question and uploaded them again.

Attached is a charge to give an example.

Any thoughts on how to correct this would be very much appreciated.

Garry,

If you start with a blank template (File - New Chart, template None), and then load a "problem" indicator, does it work?

If yes, then that will help you narrow it down. You can add one at a time until you find the problem, or if you are able to add everything and get it back to the way you like it, save a new template and ditch the old one, it probably got screwed up somewhere.

If no, then it may be the indicators themselves. Some indicators write text to their panel, some write to Price panel, some write to both or neither. It is controlled within the indicator and it does not always listen to what Panel you have selected on the indicator menu panel. For instance, if the indicator has explicit code to DrawOnPricePanel = true, then it will be drawing on the price panel no matter what panel you tell it to load in.

I have attached a couple of example charts.

I understand what you are saying but when I first loaded that CandlestickPatternALL on my platform everything was fine. Then after some time I went to load it again and that is when the indicator did not load as it did originally.

According to the link below, it is suppose to all show up in panel 1.

Can you save that chart template with the candle pattern text showing up in panel 2 and post the XML file please so I/we can take a look.

Ok I wrote a post a second ago when I thought you uploaded a template using the NT original CandleStickPattern indicator. The post said it worked fine on my end when I loaded your template.

But then I realized your template was for the custom pattern indicator I wrote for you and not the NT original version. So, the that means custom one works fine on my end using your template.

Are you sure it is the custom one giving you problems? I was under the impression up to this point it was the default NT one. If it is the custom one we can solve it privately.

Sorry for any confusion. Attached is the screen shot showing it worked fine using your exact template.

Hi Garry,

Sorry for making you repeat yourself. I thought I had seen just about everything with regards to Ninja, including some bugs that would blow your mind that Ninja hasn't fixed and doesn't intend to fix until 7... but I've not seen this.

I think you are going to have to contact Ninja tech support and hope for the best. My suggestion is to email support@ninjatrader.com, and attach a Chart template that has only the built-in NT candle pattern indicator plus the CCI. Then also attach a screen shot showing exact same on your side, including all the labels on wrong panel.

If you are not already on 6.5.1000.12 the first thing they will tell you is to upgrade to that.

Hopefully you will get some resolution from them. Please let me know if there is some way I can help.
