Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

this looks good especially Mikes, I have a question though, how would you go about just adding a static .jpg in the background?

Color whole chart

Conceptually I think that the chart (Panel 1) has bounds and effectively I want to BackColor the whole Windows form.
There is also something called ChartCanvas in the mix somewhere as well.
You wouldn't think it would be that difficult and NT have provided BackColorAll so if anyone knows how to 'expose' or uncover that method the job is done I should imagine :-)

EMA Length

Thank you very much, Mindset, for quick answer!!!
That's if the background color is blue, it means 34EMA,e.g.(or any other one), coming up? Right? Unortunately, I cant add a picture to show my thoughts.

Colour change

Colours are set by the high and low of a bar being above/below the ema - if the bar high and low are straddling the ema the background is Gold coloured.
