I'm trying to import Jeff's three setup into my Strageties, I downloaded indicators before no problem....but this time it will not work and say ...(You have custom NinjaScript files on your pc that have programming errors, These errors must be resolved before you can import a Ninjascript Archive File.. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
like i said - please post a screenshot of your errors !
there is no way to help you if you just post some words without seeing the real + full errorsmessage in a picture .
sorry - but screenshots are a MUST.
also please expalin what you mean with "trying to import Jeff's three setup into my Strageties"
we have to know what exactly you did + wich exact files you used to "import"
I had just downloaded NT 7 to my laptop...and kept getting the same error as you...after reinstalling 1723 times lol and not fixing the problem...all I had to do was delete the custom indicators that I was using from NT 6.5
Correct, the message can be produced by any indicator which is not coded properly. If you have a look at the NinjaTrader log and trace files, you will find the culprit. So you do not need to delete all custom indicators, but just the one which caused the problem.
Many NT 6.5 indicators are compatible with NT 7.0 and many are not compatible. It really depends on the NinjaScript methods used by the author of the indicators.
Thanks for that Fat Tails...I admit I have no clue how to look at the log and trace files...glad you mentioned that and hope the OP doesn't delete everything based on my stab in the dark approach :-)
