FT,

is there something u think I may have in memory that I should manually delete that could be causing renamed labels not to be reflected?

As I told u, I change the colors of the lines, press right mouse button and save as default, but even if I delete the indi, imported again, IT DOES NOT SHOW ORIGINAL COLORS, it remains with the ones I changed......(¿if I delete the indi and reinstall shouldn't it be as the original?)......this is what lead me to believe something is happening on the back....I reintstall four times and no way to change the labels....I also tested the first V28 version for b21 only and the same....
any thoughts?

ZTR told me there was some way of using the output window to check if the code was doing what it was meant to do and do some kind of test.....he went to hospital so we could not skype to check this....any idea what was this?

Thanks,

Installing Indicator: Delete old indicator via Tools -> Edit Ninjascript -> Indicator. Then install new indicator. If you want to make changes, then edit new indicator, change the code and compile via F5 (saving via F4 is not good enough).

Make the changes effective on your chart: You need to remove the old indicator from your chart and then add the new indicator (same name) again. If you do not make this change, the old settings may remain effective.

Output window: You can use this for debugging by adding Print() commands somewhere in the code. That's rather my problem. If the indicator does not run properly, I just need the error messages from your tracefile to understand what is going wrong.

This is now the final version of the indicator. I have put it into the download section.

It is compatible with the SessionPivots indicator, so it gets the same release number V28. I have made a small modification again. If you select the first or second session within a day as the session for displaying the opening range, the lines will now correctly plot back to the beginning of this session even from the later sessions.

The indicator only works with appropriate session templates. I personally use two ro three sessions per day for all instruments.

- The pivots indicator will always use the second session as the RTH session. This cannot be changed.
- The opening range indicator can plot an opening range for any session that you selected.

Below is an example, how to apply it to CL (night session, RTH session, after-session).

I will stop my work here.

You can check in the download area that the zip file contains well the indicator anaOpeningRangeV28. So it should appear under this name in your indcator folder after importing it.

If you have already downloaded one of the TestOpeningRange indicators, you need to delete the "old" anaOpeningRangeV28 first, before installing the final version of anaOpeningRangeV28 . I had used the same name for those test indicators, was just a bit lazy to rename all the versions after I had modified them.

Hi Fat Tails,
I downloaded the indicator too from the link provided. The zip file is named OpeningRange but the cs file in the zip is anaPivotsDailyv28. I imported it, it is indeed the pivots indicator that is showing up and not Opening Range indicator. I think this is the issue gtichauer is also referring to. Could you please upload the Opening Range v28?

Thanks

Sorry, this was my mistake, probably I was tired when exporting the indicator.

I corrected it now, so the file should now contain the real anaOpeningRangeV28 indicator.

Thanks again for alerting me!

Download the last SessionPivots indicator. Has also monthly and weekly pivots and the OHL of the Current Day with fib retracements.
