Hi all.
I have been working on an indicator in NinjaTrader 7 that relies on information from plots created by several purchased indicators. Some of those indicators have documented exposed values to work with, and that's great. A couple of them don't, and when I try to refer to the indicators by name in the code (as I would with any indicator that openly exposes its data), NinjaTrader claims the name doesn't exist in context.
My best workaround has been to use one of those indicators as the input to my own indicator, and refer to each plot on the input indicator as Indicators[0].Values[x] and Indicators[0].Plots[x]
This works well, except that I need to access more than one indicator, and so far as I've managed to find out, I can't use more than one indicator as an input.
I have tried exploring ChartControl.ChartObjects, which works well for identifying and reading data from drawn objects like dots, but when looking for plots in the other objects on the chart, all I can find are "NinjaTrader.Gui.Chart.ChartSeriesContainer" objects (which google knows absolutely nothing about) which have a DrawType of "Normal" - I haven't been able to cast it to any usable type I can think of.
I have tried exposing this data by writing indicators that use the indicators I want as inputs and then rewriting to a publicly exposed data series, but for some reason I always get nothing but zeros when I query those intermediate indicators.
I know the data is there - I have accessed it. I just need to find a way to bring it all together in one location.
Can anyone help please?
