Ok, I have given the correct renko implementation to Ninja several times, but for some reason they refuse to fix it after they broke it in B7. I have resisted giving them any more help since they do not really appreciate it.

However, I have gotten so much out of nexusfi.com (formerly BMT), I decided I needed to provide this implementation here.

Attached is a renko implemenation that maintains the correct wicks/volume. Originally, I had hoped that Ninja would make it the default RenkoBarType, but instead I am providing it here as WickedRenkoBarType.

It should coexist with SbsRenko and MedianRenko and NT Renko. The implementation also allows CandleSticks or OpenClose bar types to be used, but maintains the wick data reguardless of how it is displayed.

To use this, just import the zip file, compile some indicator, and restart Ninja to get the code loaded.

Enjoy!

Hello mate, Thank you for the indicator. Your nickname indicates that you're Turkish and so am I!

Take care.

BTW, @aslan wrote BetterRenko which replaces WickedRenko to my understanding. You can find more on BetterRenko here:

Thanks for posting the Renko indicator for NT7. I've downloaded the v4 version and it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions? Also, is the NT Renko version called BAR CHART? I can't seem to get any of the NT Renko indicators to work for 7.4 version. Greatly appreciate any help as I find this interesting.

Thanks again,
jwhtrades

Wicked worked fine for me. You might need to recompile it. After downloading, just open any indicator, insert and delete a space, hit the compile button, restart the app, and should be good to go.

Thanks for your quick reply. I was able to use it after reading the notes that were posted. I didn't realize how to activate through the data series window. Very nice work indeed.

Regards,
John

I can't figure out how to get access to the Wicked Renko "type". I've imported it to NT7 and see that it is in the bin\Custom\Type folder. Now what? It's not listed as a "chart Style" when creating a new chart, not as an indicator, not as a strategy... where and how do I use it?

Thanks in advance for your patience.

Right click on a chart, go to data series, and then you'll see the types.

Try this:

Add(PeriodType.Final2,yourRangeHere);

in Initialize. It will be accessible as a BarsArray, eg, Closes[1][0].
